This summer, several projects will occur around campus, including utility and road work and construction. For more information, visit map of major construction and Infrastructure Modernization project site.

The Northwest campus currently is operating under normal conditions.

College Avenue, parking lot closure scheduled through July

College Avenue closure

In conjunction with sewer improvements at College Avenue, south of Martindale Hall, the roadway will close to vehicular traffic and pedestrians through late July.

During the project, the southeast entrance to Lamkin Activity Center will be closed. Individuals visiting Lamkin and requiring ADA access should enter the facility at the Student Recreation Center located to the north of the complex.

The south entrance to Lamkin at the Bearcat Arena floor level will remain available for use during normal operational hours. The crosswalk at College Avenue between the Joyce and Harvey White International Plaza and the Olive DeLuce Fine Arts Building also will remain open.

Parking Lot 36 closure

Northwest is beginning pavement upgrades at Lot 36, adjacent to Facility Services buildings on College Park Drive. As a result, Lot 36 will be closed Monday, June 10, and is expected to reopen by late July.

During the project, Facility Services visitor parking will be relocated to Lot 37, south of the Facility Services buildings, and may be accessed from Northwest Drive.

Parking at the Support Services Building and the Materials Distribution Center will be accessible through restricted lanes at the entrance from College Park Drive. Through-traffic at that entrance will be restricted.
